UNEATEN FRUIT

A startling metaphor— . . . the everlasting sky/full of needles.” Instead of soft platitudes of dew and raindrops, needles! This is a powerful poem, Satish, full with the vicissitudes of life in this troubled age of the species, struggling to sort things out, amid chaos.Regards,- oxygon

CIRCLING

I love the metaphoric hyperbole that opens this poem, moonlight upon the door depicted as—”A bucketful of moon/falls on my door”.
I see in this narrative the emotions of a battered soul arising out of suffering, and the speaker laments being battered and bruised, and in the end, he wishes for rain to fall into his cocktail of hope, his absinthe, his bane against pain! I will always look to your poetry, Satish, with the expectation of powerful words addressed to conflict, and human suffering on the singular existential plane, and for the whole of humanity. Thanks for the poem —
oxygon

These whirling images fascinate me. Like a dream that causes me to wake with a start and lay there pondering its meaning.- york2frisco

What a wonderful set of metaphors, that never come right out and say the things that they imply so strongly. So many of them, but I understand them well I too am moving in the dark corridor, afraid of the unending highways. That is so eloquent, and says it all. --Michael LP, Mr. Poet-

LISTENING

This work has a nexus that connects each stanza to the next...This i like, tho' i wish the Roman Catholic Church could receive the same respect that the many othger Creeds have been afforded when they too are involved in the same scandalous disgrace as the Catholic Church. There are Rabbi's, Ministers of many Protestant denominations, as well as self-professed clergyen who have tainted the sacred scriptures...yet it all comes back to Catholicism, The Vatican, and that is not fair. The Holy Roman Catholic Church is comprised of tens of thousands of clergy ,throughout 5 continents. It is the single largest Organized Religion in the World(Islam/Muslim, a very close 2nd) When you have 20 or 30 thousand people....there are going to be bad seeds....Since 1985, there have been approx, 200 law-suits faught against the Church for alleged SDexual misconduct...About 60 % were found to be true. These priests were immediately defrocked & many jailed , as well they should have been! Some got off too lightly & were re-located within the Church...This was WRONG ! However, that said...i'll take 125 bad seeds out of 30,000 anyday of the week ! But you will never here the media say that according to the final figures, that it appears that 29, 875 of the 30,000 Clergymen of the Holy Roman Catholic Church are good, pure, trusting & God-devoted workers.....Good poem, though...just venting my voice a might....Oh, yeah, almost forgot...you have a mis-spell... It is WHIPPED, not wipped....-Frank James Ryan,Jr./FjR

This one scorched me and made me shrink from its description of brutal realities. A very powerful write!-vinita18

NO-MAN’S-LAND

Satish 'the path of truth' spoken in your biography is not always a comforting path when writing of personal experiences during war. "Sadness was invading my wounds again... The brain has an infidel tumor It fails to grow and erase you...", an emotional poem of scenes of death and destruction that can not be replaced in their entirety so as to leave you at peace. The brilliance of you is your survival to go on, knowing you lived so as to tell the tales of war as they truly were experienced. Thank you for your constant fight for peace my admirable friend-Marcia Schechinger

Simply unique the masterpiece....Path meets to inward lake/where I will meet you/on the white beach...... Great poet, salute your wisdom you communicate with such economy of sound. Contaminate your creative fire.......-Pranab k chakraborty

IN OUR BREASTS

Satish filled with emotions and imagery you give the readers a taste of the "snake", the "seductress", and the "egos" who promote war for profit and power. Searching through memories of the past, we wonder what was it all for and why is war and killing of those different than oneself so disposable. Fear is fear, and the killing of others will not take it away. Thank you for sharing Satish.- Marcia Schechinger, USA

SHIFTING PAIN

Satish wonderful metaphoric usage in this peace poem, "...the tongue triggers discontent for a riot of spawned hunger...". The truth told in "authenticity" that the true murderers might be revealed so innocents will not be the tokens taken by war, your words are stronger than any weapon. Thank you for your constant fight for peace Satish.- Marcia Schechinger

NEUTRAL

We all search for truth. To each of us truth is true only to us. To others it is up to them to decide. Trick is that we need to let the others believe in what they want even if it is wrong to us. God gave them the right to believe just as He gave us the same right. This, I have learned only with maturity and mine comes with age and within my "sliding years."
I like your poem.- e. Gene Myers

THE ENVIABLE

Satish,
I found the imagery of the first three verses striking and fancy I find meaning in them at a personal level.
The end of the poem mystifies me.
Most of your work is indecipherable to me though I note the threading imagery of moon and lake in your recent posts.
There seems to be a certain leaping from thought to thought between verses in your style of writing.
Many times I find myself being pulled up by the striking imagery and power of words as I read them in your poetry even if I may not grasp your intent.
To the continuing read,
best regards-
Gion Gion

Satish with anguish and pain the memories of war can not be 'washed' away and the 'wounds' can never be totally healed. LISTENING

Satish,
the refrain forces an examination of the succeeding lines for the often ignored common denominator.
“who tasted the laughing moonlight.” – beautiful expression.
“Death makes a big hole
in a spooky silence!” – the words “silence” and “death” resonate for me – “The Silent People” Walter Macken (set in the Great Famine) and a description of Ireland I heard reported from a woman who had survived into post-famine times (a silence descended over the country) Fergus- Gion Gion

LIKE A CHINESE LANTERN

Satish with your exquisite style and talent you have given the readers a view of what could have been lovely, if war had not come into play. Annihilation

What was left in our hands
after risk and awards were given to seekers?
Sign of grace at hairpin bends
was absent.

Nobody was speaking..... abloute way of mind corrution. rationale poem

Nobody speaks in silence but their tongue
No one demands anything but truly due
Hands are still empty and await recognition
There is fire within without ignition
Highly stage managed emotional drama
We are dumb founded and gone into coma
Names may be announced and seekers may get
Opportunity is slipped out of hand or simply let - Hasmukh Mehta, Ahmedabad
