WORDS OF NEVER BEING

Satish the second stanza is so moving "...violence of crawling and inflicting damages to each other; I will never be myself again...". I had never thought of the actual act of crawling beneath the skies, within the dark, alone, until the deeds are done and "the flames are lifting the red sky". A soulful picture of war told in your meticulously talented way. Thanks Satish let us hope one day peace will find us, so as we can all be unified. :)- Marcia Schechinge, USA

Satish with bold and blundt imagery you have displayed sorrow, hate and hope. "..Praying in the scoop of fingers I feel, gold nuggets in the throes of doubts -", your gift for the abstract always enthralls me. Your talent is superb, as always :)- Marcia Schechinge, USA

THE URBORN

Startling and surreal! Mere (poor) minutes were in the act of sin, but the effect will affect centuries! I am very impressed with the image of the nightingale (the very emblem of flight, and freedom), lying bleeding upon the greening leaves of the tree. This penning is true to your vision of that aspect of the world in turmoil—suffering, and death, but not utterly despairing, not without hope.
Thanks for another splendid write, Satish —- oxygon

JUST CRIED

the greatness of you joys us all- Nitish shubhankar

A powerful write, Satish! No matter how dark the shadows into which your poetry enters, the words bring light with a passion that defies description. One can feel the raw edge of emotion dripping with blood, and the heat of holy fire! This is truly one of your finest, and I am privileged to have read it.- oxygon

DEATH OF ABSENCE

Death is in itself a profound absence, and the poem takes it to a higher level—the abject meaning of absence its own demise! War is the absence of sanity, and at the same time the death of sanity. No one is spared, even the children are fated as innocent lambs to the slaughter in the rumble of tanks, those metaphors on creaking tracks, wreaking deadly havoc in the streets—a child down, awaiting the boots says it all in a brutal, chilling, and succinct way. Thanks for another poem, Satish, that speaks so frightfully eloquent to the perils and suffering, past and present.- oxygon

http://www.americanpoems.com

HAUNTED LANDSCAPE

A haunted landscape, so hauntingly described in a poem, I really like the way the hard metaphors are juxtaposed to mundane reality, and how they so effectively compliment the harsh imagery of a nightmarish dream-scape. This says so much much about the condition of our contemporary world, and the tragic historical foundation upon which it is built. Thanks for the poem, Satish.- oxygon

http://www.americanpoems.com

THE GOODBYE

The inexhaustible, human spirit, were it not so, all hope would be lost in the heat of protracted conflict! Over time the tragedy of histories unfolding, has the seeming affect of wearing off the sheen of love!—powerful! The earth is both our paradise and our collective grave, and men are ever too hasty to turn the oasis of deserts into graveyards for the sons and daughters, and thereby fill the hearts of the fathers with contempt. The poem reminds the reader that we must say “goodbye” for reasons other than farewell to life! Thanks for the thought provoking poem, Satish.- oxygon

FIRE AND STRAW

  1. “They” will say they do no wrong, but as the great philosopher, Marshall McLuhan said—the medium is the message, and I perceive in the poem that the medium and message is a grievous falsehood! Keep the fire burning, Satish; few speak so fervently and eloquently on this continuing tragedy as you do.- oxygonJuly 21st, 2010 at 1:21 pm
And I could add, Satish, that the message is a falsehood, but the medium—the essence—is death, and that may sound like a contradiction of McLuhan’s premise, but contradiction is an inexorable part of the fabric of the present order in the world! Your poetry addresses this “ordered” chaos in a profoundly passionate way.- oxygonJuly 21st, 2010 at 1:28 pm

IN CHAINS

Listening, to inner voice, peeling off the hurts, hammered memories. You dropp the answer and throw back the question. Something was totally amiss Absence overtakes the presence. The shadow was more frightening. No movement, A lull before a flash, then explosion. The limbs will fly. The ending of thought or beginning of emptiness? A green death starts thinking. This is so insightful and a delightful read i love the vast continuations into thoughts and dreams. YOur head is a wonderful disneyland for mental function and creativity. I wonder where you get it all. I am fond on your strutrure and want to know where you get that kind of engery to create such a masterpiece. Its it that your a genius or somekind of professional artistian who I have never heard of . Can you be a true poet who has al lthe energy to kill time with these wonder ful words. Thank you. - KFC, Colin J, Kansas
