Unjointed Time
This piece gave me a lot of thought. My feeling is at one level its a ghost story and the character is talking to his fathers shade as a means to work through his grief and yet at another level that it is instead a metaphoric view on someone who feels thier life is crumbling around them. Who fears the future but accepts that the answer to his future lays in the ghosts of his past. I would love to know your thinking behind this piece.-Milly Hayward

Eternal Verities
I don't understand how people are still under-appreciating your work. I love it still. The sodden hint of formaldehyde touched with a glint of truth and disparity. Well done once more.-Nicholas Browning

The Blooming Blood
Massive Explosion
What a well written post my friend! Because of the way I was taught as a child I DO have hope of a fabulous eternity after death with Christ in heaven. And...if what I've been taught is not true, what have I lost to have had faith? BUT....if those who do NOT believe are wrong they face an eternity that will not be pleasant in the least.-MissSharon

Oh, another beautiful poem about purpose - one's purpose in life; the ultimate purpose of life; the world's purpose in our own life. I somewhere along the lines, found all these questions in this short and crisp piece. Built on the foundations of sad imagery, the verses take me into a very different world than what the poet himself feels - does poetry only make the poets help realize and put together their thoughts and feelings, or somewhere do we as readers take bits and pieces from them too in our minds, or do they just end up like piled up newspapers - read, abandoned and forgotten in our cupboards. Thank you.-gumshuda

Taboos
Hmm.... so I had to look up "aperitif" and I found out it is an alcoholic beverage taken before a meal to stimulate the appetite.
I feel a sense of uneasiness in this piece. Like you are purposefully familiarizing yourself with this darkness, this alcohol that consumes you, and instead of having that control of how much you consume, you drown in it.
Something I admire about your poetry is that it so distinct yet I often have to read lines again because I could take several interpretations. Perhaps there is only one meaning, but when I read the short verses you write I have this sense you put every word in place for a specific purpose.
When I read this, I felt like I was falling, that sense of remorse yet not being able to pick myself up. That loss of substance, "no flesh", "cleaning the words on the whiteboard" - perhaps the inner voice of your mind.
Okay, so now after almost finishing my comment and reading again, I see you have placed this in the "nature/environment" category. I'm tying this to being immersed in that darkness/alcohol with being immersed in a flood. There's a sense of hopelessness too.
Really interesting piece.-Poet on the Piano

The Assumption
Is that there are garden prayers and that butterflies can declare them over (on the surface). The thing about personal imagery is the puzzle and the internal codes which I totally agree the reader can not be written in or permitted access. All that survives is undaunted and unsuppressed emotion - not too shabby. - allets

It Comes
First off you have used a great deal of grammar that is simplistic to taste. I liked the flow. Further, you have grown in your work as an artist type poet. Really liking your work. Words of nicely woven linguistic terms. Fashioned in a great experience type work you got here. Try reaching out to your fan base it may surprise you. Even you who may think otherwise. This piece is wonderful in its presentation. Lastly, subjects change and there maybe a pattern to this equation. Mark the one willing to let go & explore.
This incredible piece makes one really think. About the seasons the air we breath and the touch of a hand to hold. Savor each memory that is presented. I may come across as being cold at times but i really have a special place in my heart for poetry. Everyday i search for the latest poem that comes across feeling very positive to me. Grasping the dear message that each poem has been presented. you show your growth with each delicate penned piece that I come across reading. Thank you for the chance to have read.-Mario Vitale
