People are always trying to find a 'meaning' to any poem they read. I habitually do this to, but try to remind myself that a meaning is not central to poetry. I admit I'm not understanding this poem. Even so, I can appreciate the imagery. I can't help but wonder, what was the writing process like for you? Was it that each line naturally fell into place from the back of your mind, or did you go over and edit, testing the sounds of each line to get to this? Interesting piece.- Ian McArthur
