BALD SKY

A “bald sky”, bereft of all the grandeur of the creation! What a bleak outlook! But it is harmonious with the underlying theme of the poem, and harmony is a lofty prize in a poem. As always, I enjoy the use of startling and ever so vivid imagery, blended with powerful metaphors that lend to the mood of the poem—dark, very dark, sobering, but not abjectly despairing.- oxygon

I salute you, Satish, in this season of reflection and celebration. We must not forget to focus on the shadows that are made of the absence of light, a darkness that you relentlessly pursue with the bright torch of truth! Yes, the world is not so pretty as a convenient ideal that we would love to hold up high for display in this art of poetry. No, someone must expose the ugliness that belies the path of beauty, and I am there with you in mind, heart, and spirit. Peace, love, and brotherhood for you and family. - oxygon
