Teasing

I am beginning to like this rich verse that would/ should to make the reader draw his/her own interpretation...maybe the title is apt. Kudos Satish. All for the rare expressions those in fact highlight a special sense and meaning. I hazard a guess here for a girl in distress in the harem and being emaciated. But I don’t know. Thanks Narasimha for your call. Lastly I believe much of Verma’s wonderful poetry has to be read to reflect. Kudos.- Seshu Chamarty, Hyderabad

Satish Verma Sir, The above poem as well as your other poems are rich in metaphor and have a wonderful rhythm.  But the meaning eludes me, probably because I am too dense to grasp anything as subtle as what you write.   "clad in wounded memories" is a refreshingly original expression, as also"unpraised thorns" of the black rose.   But what  would be the meaning of "forest of hands" in the given context?

In regard to the line"the fugitive wind shuts the smart tears"  the tears may refer to the tears in the eye caused by the pain of the thorns or anguish metaphorically.   Or does it refer to the tears  in the skin caused by the "unpraised thorns".

It is sad to see that a beautiful poem like this goes unexplained.   I shall be grateful to learn from some one  out there who certainly could help.- Narasimha Sarma Rachakonda, Visakhapatnam

The fugitive wind shuts the smart tears. An awesome expression i will borrow 'fugitive wind' from you. Regards,- Shigufta Hena Uzma, Patna
