Flames of song
Satish Vermaji,
"I was caught stealing words from your lips";
"Baked brown in heat of wars like a salted pistachio" ...
I liked these images.
However, I could not get at "almond love". How about considering 'built' for 'made' in: "Pyramid was not made in a day."
Is "embers" symbolic of fossil or in criticism of atomic power plants coming up? If later is the case, wouldn't 'embers', perhaps, be more symbolic?
Thanks for the interesting and inflaming songs. with regards, -NS Murty, Bangalore

Disbelievingly
Moved to workshop as I think the images are too ambiguous. Interesting poem, but I have no clue!-Lavonne Westbrooks
As in your other poem, you need to look twice for an opening line:
You wear mauve when I cry.
I really like some of the images you come up with, but in the ther disparity needs to be connected in some way.
Try again.
And for God's sake, if any of these are darlings, kill them.- maggie flanagan-wilkie

RETURN ON D-DAY
June 6,1944...Normandy...My Father was a U.S.N. Radioman on D-Day, and was also stationed in the South Pacific(Guam) right before the take-out of Hiroshima & Nagasaki. He was a gentle man who wanted to defend our Freedom, and volunteered to take-on aruably the most haeeowing & dangerous assignment,as Radiomen did not have quick access to their rifles, due to their priority to carry all the radio equipment...But he accepted this role, as he felt it would also make him unlikely to be able to fire his rifle at the enemy, even if it be in self-defense.My Dad would rather been killed than to be guilty of killing, i am convinced of that, based on the altruistic life he led in his 86 years on this planet! He died in late, 2008 of the one thing in life he feared....To be a victim of Alzheimers....as in his mind, that would be easy for him to bear , but not for we, his family, who he could not bear to burden. It was like June 6th, 1944 all over again!-Frank James Ryan,Jr./FjR

loving this...much enjoyed- James Carver
Satish, welcome. I have a little trouble reading "of spotted survivor" but enjoyed the vivid images elsewhere in the poem. "A pain of you hangs on my door" and the "black moon" are the most memorable.-Tom Riordan
Satish,
welcome. there's a change of tone and style in S3 that's not quite matching the the rest of the poem, like it reaches
back to an older language. a good intro.-Tiko Lewis
This gave me much pleasure, Satish. Welcome.- milner place
I was into this until the syntax turned antiquated:
why did not
you stay beside me?- Jay Dougherty
lovely piece...especially the final line, like it- Jerry Pike

BLOODSCAPE
Satish Vermaji, Your angst for the monolithic religions and the youth sacrificing their lives which is akin to hysterectomy for a dubious cause, thus life reducing to a commodity is understandable. "Selling rage" is poignantly clear and polytheists are no exception here. The selection of words is very good.
Rather than an assertion " Be 'it' today, or tomorrow, the blood brings honor", I would have liked it expressed as a question.
Again, its true that the roots are destroying in Democracies. But then, but then it is roots to blame for they nourish the tops toiling hard to squeeze the essences from earth. May be the soil needs a different kind of structure.
A very thought provoking poem. It could have been dressed a bit better. Congrats and best regards-NS Murty, Bangalore
