While I'm sure this will be crystal clear for some other readers .. for me it reads somewhat like a drag race with those cars that belch fire and there's a tree of lights to go on green ... the cars even have parachutes for braking assistance. Even the lake reference makes me think of the dried up salt flats where speed demons thrive.-Pen

As in your first line, I find your images themselves lap up at what you have abstracted here.
I like that this is a "draw", and, if indeed a game, no winners or losers.
And I wonder...can ANYONE "reach the end of thought"?
Even the best debaters will think around in circles...
Does walking on the lake correspond to reaching the end of thought?
Uncomfortable read, your final sentence in this: you do name a winner after all, the faithless. Not sure I lkie hat happens to the pledge.
